SIMPLE SYRUP FOR FRUIT SALAD 
2/3 cup fresh orange juice
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup packed brown sugar (light)
1/2 tsp. grated orange zest and 1/2 tea. lemon zest
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Bring juices, sugar and zest to a boil over a med-high heat and stir until slightly thickened. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes. Remove and stir in vanilla extract. Let the syrup completely cool.

Pour over selected fresh fruits placing bananas at the bottom. Pour over fruit and cover and refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours. Stir by lightly tossing (folding over) before serving.

Sufficient for 5/6 cups of selected fresh fruit such as: Pineapple, sliced Strawberries, Blueberries, Kiwi, Pineapple, Mango, Oranges/Tangerines, Grapes, Nectarines, Cantalopes etc.
