LOW - FAT BROWNIES | |
1/2 c. boiling water 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder 1 1/2 c. sugar 1/3 c. corn oil 1 tsp. vanilla 4 egg whites, room temperature 1 1/4 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan with vegetable cooking spray. 2. In large bowl, combine boiling water and cocoa. Mix with a wire whisk until well blended and smooth. 3. Add sugar, oil, vanilla, egg whites, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix well with wire whisk. Pour into prepared pan. 4. Bake until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (about 25 minutes). Makes 24 brownies. Note: Oil can be reduced to 1/4 cup and the liquid made up with milk, kahlua, orange juice, etc. |
