FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Pinch salt
1 3/4 c. cold water
1 sm. pkg. strawberry Jell-O
1 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 boxes whole strawberries, cleaned

Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and water. Cook until mixture is clear. Stir in Jell-O until dissolved; add vanilla. Cool until just beginning to thicken. Place a layer of strawberries in crust, pour 1/2 of the mixture over them. Place remaining strawberries, point side up, and pour remaining Jell-O over them. Chill until firm. Serve with whipped cream.
