SPAGHETTI WITH MEAT SAUCE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 sm. onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (4 1/2 oz.) can chopped ripe olives
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. oregano & thyme
1/2 tsp. basil
1 clove garlic
1 bay leaf

Combine meat and onion. Cook until meat is browned and onion tender. Skim off fat. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Partially cover and simmer 1 hour or until thick. Stir occasionally.
