2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1 1/2 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 2)
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift first 4 ingredients onto waxed paper and set aside. Beat butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and beat until fluffy; add cooled chocolate. Stir in bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla together; add to butter mixture alternately with dry ingredients, beating well after each addition. Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes.
