1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
Pinch of salt
2 eggs
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. flour
2 bananas, mashed

Cream shortening, sugar, and salt. Add eggs, beaten well. Mix cocoa and milk; add soda and boiling water (combined). Add to other ingredients. Add flour, bananas, and vanilla. Pour into well greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan and bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes. (When making icing, put 1/2 of a banana into frosting, this makes the icing taste good!)
