3 c. quick oatmeal (dry)
1/2 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. undiluted evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry oats, coconut and walnuts in a large bowl; set aside. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, evaporated milk and butter. Over medium heat, bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 full minute. Remove and add vanilla. Pour over cereal mixture. Mix with a fork until well coated. Drop from teaspoon onto wax paper, working rapidly. Let stand until firm. Yield: About 4 1/2 dozen heavenly cookies.
