DATE ROLL CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1 c. chopped dates
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Cook sugar and milk until it forms a soft ball when put in cold water. Add vanilla and dates. Cook until it recedes from pan. Cool. Then add butter and beat until creamy. Add nuts and form into rolls on wax paper. Place in refrigerator. Slice when cold.
