SPANISH RICE 
1/2 lb. hamburger
1/4 c. butter
1 med. onion, sliced
1/2 med. green pepper, diced
1 c. rice
2 c. stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Brown hamburger. Melt butter in saucepan. Add onions, peppers, and rice. Cook and stir over high heat until lightly browned; add tomatoes, water, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Bring to a boil. Cover tightly. Simmer for 30 minutes. Add browned hamburger. Serves 4-6.
