KOSHER CABBAGE SALAD 
1 head cabbage
1 red onion
1 green pepper
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 c. vinegar
1 c. olive oil or good vegetable oil
3 tbsp. sugar

Thinly slice cabbage, onion and green pepper. Toss with sugar. Boil the vinegar, oil, celery seed, salt and sugar together and pour over the vegetables, toss and let it sit for couple of hours. This salad can be refrigerated and served for couple of weeks.
