CANDIED BAKED BANANAS 
1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1/4 c. water
2 slightly underripe bananas
Pinch of salt
Juice of 1/2 lemon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small saucepan, melt together brown sugar and water. Boil about 5 minutes. Peel bananas and slice lengthwise and then laterally and place in buttered shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with salt. Add to the cooled syrup, juice of 1/2 lemon. Pour the syrup over the bananas and bake about 30 minutes, turning them after the first 15 minutes. Serves 2.
