SALSA (MILD) 
1 c. finely chopped, peeled tomato
1/2 c. tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chili peppers, drained
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1 to 2 tbsp. snipped cilantro or parsley
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
1/8 tsp. pepper

In a mixing bowl combine the above. Place about half the mixture in a blender or food processor. Cover and blend or process until smooth. Stir in remaining mixture (do not process). Cover and chill at least 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Store in refrigerator up to one week. Makes about 2 cups.
