DR. BOB'S BEEF ROAST 
5 lb. beef roast
1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
2 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. garlic powder
Vegetable oil

Make a paste with enough oil to moisten. Season meat with paste. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. Put roast, in covered pan, in the oven at 475 degrees for 30 minutes, then at 325 degrees until tender about 2 to 3 hours.

To add a different twist, add, just before baking, 1 cup catsup mixed with 1 cup Coke and pour over top. (We use a 3 pound roast and 1/2 of the vest.)
