HEAVENLY YEAST ROLLS | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/4 c. warm water 2 c. milk, scalded 2 eggs 1 stick butter 2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. sugar 7 c. flour Soften yeast in warm (not hot) water. Set aside. Combine scalded milk and butter in very large mixing bowl. Stir until melted. Add salt, sugar, eggs and yeast. Stir in flour. Mix well. Cover and set in warm place until doubled. Roll out and cut into desired shapes (for dinner rolls). Place on greased cookie sheets. Let rise again and bake 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees. Makes about 4 dozen. |
