EASY BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
3 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. buttermilk

Mix together flour and Crisco with pastry blender until coarse crumbs appear. Add buttermilk and mix well with fork. Pour on floured surface and knead 10 to 12 times. Roll out about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thickness. Makes 15-18 large biscuits. Bake at 450 degrees on top rack in preheated oven for 10 minutes.
