STUFFED MIRLITONS 
12 mirlitons
2 onions, chopped fine
3 stalks celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped fine
2 pods garlic, minced
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 1/2 lb. raw shrimp, chopped
1 c. Italian bread crumbs

Split mirlitons, take out seed. Boil until tender. Add salt while cooking; cool. Scoop out and drain inside pulp. Save water and save shell.

Saute in oil onions, celery, bell pepper, garlic. Add raw shrimp and cook around 15 minutes. Add mirliton pulp and mash all ingredients together. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook about 15 minutes more and then add Italian bread crumbs until it gets stiff.

Stuff shells and bake in oven at 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Wonderful!
