FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE 
1 qt. fresh strawberries
12 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. corn starch
9 inch pie shell, baked and cooled

Wash and hull the fresh strawberries, drain very well. Cook package frozen berries with water, sugar, salt and corn starch. When thickened, add 1 tablespoon butter. Cool. Place strawberries in pie shell, then pour cooked mixture over berries. Chill and top with Cool Whip.
