CARAMEL FUDGE SQUARES 
1 c. butter
1 lb. box brown sugar
1 c. chopped nuts
2 c. flour (plain), sifted
1/4 tsp. baking soda
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Beat egg yolks slightly and add to butter mixture with the vanilla. Add flour and soda. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold them into the batter. Spread mixture into greased and floured pan (about 9 x 15 inches). Bake in 325 degree oven for about an hour. Cool and cut into squares.
