WHITE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco or oil
4 egg whites
2 1/4 c. plain flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cream sugar and Crisco together, add egg whites one at a time. Sift in 2 1/4 cups plain flour, add salt, baking powder and milk; mix well. Add the vanilla flavoring. Bake at 325 degrees until done. Makes three layers.

PINEAPPLE FILLING:

2 c. crushed pineapple
3 tbsp. plain flour
1/2 stick butter
1 c. sugar

Cook in double boiler until thick enough to spread on layers.

WHITE ICING:

2 egg whites
1/3 c. water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring

Cook in double boiler mixing until thick. Ice layers and fill in between layers with pineapple. Ice sides of cake with white icing. Leaves enough pineapple for top of cake.
