APPLESAUCE MUFFINS 
I love these muffins. You will too!

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup applesauce

In a mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine all the dry ingredients; add to the creamed mixture alternately with applesauce.

Mix just until combined. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.

Makes about 1-1/2 dozen muffins.
