APPLE BUTTER 
6 lbs. apples
3 qts. cider
3 lbs. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Wash apples, slice with skin and seed. Add cider and cook until apples are very soft. Put apples through sieve. Add sugar, spices and let simmer until quite thick. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Fill hot sterilized jars and seal.
