SPAGHETTI PIE 
8 oz. pkg. of spaghetti
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef
1 med. onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper (if desired)
2 tbsp. vegetable oil (optional)
1 jar (15 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. leaf oregano, crumbled
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1 c. cottage cheese
4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Pepperoni slices, optional

Break spaghetti into 2 inch pieces and cook. Put cooked spaghetti into 9 x 13 baking pan. Stir in butter, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and egg. Spread evenly in pan. Saute meat, onion and green pepper, drain fat. Mix it with spaghetti sauce, sugar, oregano, and salt. Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti noodles and top with hamburger sauce mixture. If desired add a layer of sliced pepperoni, add pepperoni on top of meat mixture.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese and bake 10 minutes longer. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
