TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 sticks butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift flour, sugar, soda, and salt together. In a small saucepan combine butter, cocoa and water. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla. Bake in greased jelly roll pan, 11x17 inch, 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. buttermilk
1 lb. box powdered sugar
1 c. nuts, if desired
1 tsp. vanilla

Put butter, cocoa, and buttermilk in saucepan. Stir over low heat until mixture boils. Add powdered sugar, nuts and vanilla. Frost cake while icing is still warm.
