BUTTER MIX COOKIES 
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. solid shortening
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (18 1/2 oz.) box white or yellow cake mix
1/2 c. chopped nuts

In large mixing bowl with electric mixer on low, combine butter, shortening, egg yolks, and vanilla. Blend in dry cake mix, adding 1/3 at a time. If dry, add 1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons water. Stir in nuts. Form small balls of dough. Place on baking sheets. Bake in 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes. Cool on racks.
