1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. white Karo
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine and let come to boil. Boil for 2 minutes and beat. Makes a thin icing, should be poured hot on cake. Good for date, nut, or spice cake.
