HAM AND BROCCOLI BAKE 
2/3 c. converted long grain rice
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut broccoli

Cook rice according to package directions, except omit salt. Set aside. Run water over broccoli to separate. 1 med. onion, chopped (1/2 c.) 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 1/2 c. milk 2 c. cubed fully cooked ham

In medium saucepan melt the butter. Add onion and cook until tender. Stir in flour and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir for 1 minute more. Stir in ham. Remove from heat.

In a 12" x 7 1/2" x 2" baking dish layer the ham mixture, rice, and broccoli. Bake until hot and bubbly. Remove cover. Arrange cheese slices on top. Combine bread crumbs and butter. Sprinkle over cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes more or until heated through. Makes 6 servings. 3/4 c. soft bread crumbs (1 slice) 1 tbsp. butter, melted
