3/4 c. salted soda crackers, crushed
4 c. onions, sliced
2 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 c. half and half, scalded
Reserve 1/4 c. cracker crumbs

Put onions and remaining cracker crumbs and seasonings in 1 1/2 quart casserole, toss. Add hot half and half, sprinkle with reserved crumbs and dot with butter. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours.
