CORNCOB JELLY | |
12 med. red corn cobs 2 qt. water 3 c. sugar 1 1/2 oz. pkg. powdered pectin Wash corn cobs and cut in 4 inch lengths. Put into container, add 2 quart water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and boil slowly for 35 to 40 minutes. Strain the juice. Measure 3 cups juice into a large container. Add the powdered pectin and bring to a boil. Add sugar and again bring to boiling point. Boil for 5 minutes skim and pour into hot sterilized jars and seal. |
