1 c. butter 1 c. white sugar 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring 1 2/3 c. sifted flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 2/3 c. quick rolled oats 1 c. raisins 1 c. chopped nuts Cream the butter and sugars until fluffy. Beat in the eggs and flavorings. Sift together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to the creamed mixture, blending well. Mix in the rolled oats, raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes in a 350 degree oven. These are especially good when topped with a thin layer of powdered sugar and butter frosting. |
