DATE BALLS 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 lb. cut up dates
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Coconut

In pan combine butter, sugar, and dates. Bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Combine egg, milk, vanilla, and salt; stir into date mixture. Return to heat and cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Allow to cool. Stir in Rice Krispies and nuts. Form into 1 inch balls; roll in coconut.
