DESSERT ORANGE BALLS | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers, crushed by hand or in a food processor 1 (6 oz.) can concentrated frozen orange juice, thawed 1/2 c. softened butter 1 lb. sifted powdered sugar 1/2 to 1 c. finely chopped pecans (may be roasted, if desired) Mix thawed but still slushy juice together with ingredients, except powdered sugar. Stir until smooth, adding the sifted powdered sugar, a little at a time. Refrigerate the dough for 15 to 20 minutes. This allows tiny 1/2-inch to 3/4-inch balls to be rolled by pinching a bit of dough off and rolling on waxed paper. Roll the balls in powdered sugar and freeze in a container a couple of hours before serving. |
