SPAGHETTI ITALIANO | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 green pepper 1 can or 2 c. whole tomatoes, cut up 1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste 1 can water 1 can mushroom stems and pieces, undrained 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 pkg. Creamette spaghetti 2 tbsp. butter Brown meat, onion, and green pepper until tender. Drain excess fat. Add all ingredients, except spaghetti, butter, and cheese. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour. Remove bay leaf. Prepare Creamette spaghetti according to package directions; drain. Toss with butter. Serve sauce over spaghetti with Parmesan cheese. 4 servings. |
