CREAMY POTATO TOMATO SOUP 
5 or 6 lg. potatoes
1 lg. onion
3 c. water
2 15-oz. cans tomato sauce
2 c. milk
salt & pepper
1/4 tsp. baking soda

Chop potatoes into cubes. Chop onion into small pieces (minced). Add potatoes and onion to water and boil 15 minutes. Add tomato sauce, milk, salt and pepper to taste. Add baking soda- the mixture may foam up but that is okay.

Simmer 1-1 1/2 hours. Serve with cornbread.
