CINNAMON ROLLS (FROSTED) 
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water--dissolve in large bowl

Add:

5/8 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. (each) soft butter, sugar
1 tsp. (each) baking powder, salt
1 egg
2 3/4 c. flour (using 1/2 in mixture, then stirring other 1/2 in with fork)

Blend together; dough will be soft and sticky. Knead 5 minutes on floured board; roll dough out flat (9x15); spread with soft butter and sprinkle on sugar/cinnamon mixture. Roll up and cut 1 inch slices (15). Place in buttered 9x13 pan and let rise in warm place until doubled (at least 1 hour). Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Spread icing on top.

ICING: 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons evaporated milk, 3 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla. (For Christmas, bake rolls in shape of tree; add red/green cherries and pecans on top of icing: 1st row-1; 2nd row-2; 3rd row-3; 4th row-5; 5th row-2; 6th row-2.)

(Or) ORANGE FROSTING: 3 tablespoons soft butter, 1 teaspoon orange rind, 2 tablespoons orange juice, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar. Spread 1/2 of frosting on dough that's been rolled to a 9x15 inch size; roll up, beginning with large end. Cut into 15 slices and place in 9x13 buttered pan; bake then spread rest of orange frosting on top.
