GEORGE WASHINGTON CHERRY DESSERT 
PASTRY BOTTOM LAYER:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients by hand until smooth. Pat into 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

FILLING:

1 lg. pkg. cream cheese
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. sugar

Mix well and spread on crust. Spread 1 can cherry pie filling on top. Top with crushed nut meats (optional). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve with whipping cream.
