CLAM ROLLS | |
1 1/2 tsp. flour 1 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. chopped onion 14 slices day old bread 2 sm. cans minced clams 1/4 tsp. soy sauce 1/4 tsp. garlic powder Saute onion in butter, add flour, seasonings and clams with juice. Cook, slowly until it thickens and cool. Remove crust from bread and roll thin. Brush with melted butter and spread clam mixture on bread. Roll and cut in half. Place on very lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush tops with butter and bake in 425 degree oven for 10 minutes. Watch very carefully so won't burn! Can be made up ahead and put in freezer. Then, thaw out and bake. |
