CHINESE CHEWS 
3/4 c. butter, softened
3 tbsp. white sugar
1 1/2 c. flour

Mix the above ingredients and press into 11"x13" pan and bake at 350 degrees until light brown.

3 egg whites, beaten
3 egg yolks
2 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
3/4 c. coconut
1 c. nuts

Beat together yolks, brown sugar, coconut and nuts. Fold dark brown mixture into egg whites and pour over crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut when slightly. Cool but leave until cold before removing from pan.
