GOLDEN OVEN POUND CAKE | |
2 sticks butter 1/2 c. shortening 3 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 c. sifted flour 1 c. sweet milk 1 tsp. lemon and 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1 can flaked coconut Cream butter, shortening and sugar until fluffy; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and milk alternately. Add flavoring; stir in coconut. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Place in a cold oven. Set the temperature at 350 degrees; bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done. |
