SAUERKRAUT & KIELBASA 
1 can sauerkraut
1 onion
1 sm. can mushrooms, pieces & stems
4 strips of bacon, if desired
3 tbsp. brown sugar, or to taste
Polish kielbasa, cut in 1 inch pieces

Empty sauerkraut into colander and rinse with cold water (squeeze water out). Saute onion, add mushrooms and bacon. Stir in brown sugar. Add sauerkraut. Add cut up kielbasa and cook slowly or bake at 300 degrees for one hour.
