SCHOOL DINNER ROLLS 
1 qt. & 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. powdered milk
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. Crisco
1 fresh egg

1. Sift flour then measure. Add powdered milk and salt to flour. Sift all dry ingredients again.

2. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and yeast to 1 cup water.

3. Melt Crisco in saucepan. Add to 1/2 cup water in mixing bowl. Add remaining sugar.

4. Add slightly beaten egg to other ingredients in mixing bowl.

5. Add yeast mixture to ingredients in bowl.

6. Add dry ingredients to liquid mixing with wooden spoon.

7. Mix 15 minutes or until dough pulls away from bowl.

8. Let dough rest 5 minutes. Shape rolls, brush with butter. Let rise until double (about 30 minutes to 1 hour).

9. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-15 minutes until brown. Makes 20 large.
