TORTILLA SOUP 
1 med. onion, chopped
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp. cooking oil
2 lbs. stew meat or sirloin cut in 1 inch cube
1 - 14 1/2 oz. can tomatoes
1 - 5 oz. can Rotel tomatoes and green chilies
10 1/2 oz. can beef broth
10 1/2 oz. can chicken broth
10 3/4 oz. can tomato soup
1 1/2 cans water
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. chile powder
1/2 tsp. lemon pepper
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
Salt to taste
4 tortillas, cut into 1 inch strips
1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

Saute the first 5 ingredients in large kettle. Add remaining ingredients except tortillas and cheese. Simmer 1 hour. Add tortillas and cook 10 minutes. Pour into bowls and sprinkle with cheese.
