3 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour cream

Sift flour, soda, and salt together. Mix sugar, butter, egg and vanilla. Beat in sour cream. Then add dry ingredients gradually. Set oven to 400 degrees.

Roll dough 1/4 inch thick and cut into desired shapes. Place them on cookie sheet and bake 6-8 minutes.

2/3 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. powdered sugar
