SOFT RAISIN COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. dairy sour cream
2 c. raisins

Cream butter to consistency of mayonnaise. Add sugar gradually while continuing to cream. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla. Beat until light and fluffy. Mix and sift flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with sour cream, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in raisins. Drop by heaping tablespoons onto well greased cookie sheets, well apart.

With spoon, flatten into circles about 2 inches in diameter. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Yield 3 dozen large cookies.
