6 oz. wide egg noodles 1 sm. onion 1 clove garlic 1 bell pepper 1/4 lb. sharp cheese, grated 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 sm. can whole kernel corn 1 sm. can pitted or sliced olives Butter 1 can tomato sauce Salt to taste Cook noodles in salted water until tender; drain. Finely chop onion, garlic and green pepper. Place in frying pan with 2 tablespoons butter and cook until soft. Add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Brown meat and add to sauce. Mix corn, noodles, olives and cheese and then add to meat sauce. Mix well. Season to taste and pour into a casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until bubbly. Serves 4-6. |
