VEGETABLE MELODY 
1/2 sm. head cabbage thinly cut
2 carrots thinly cut
1 1/2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Salt and pepper
1/4 c. water
1 slice bacon cut up in pieces
Red/green bell pepper, scallions, onions (optional)

Fry bacon in skillet, add all vegetables and all other ingredients. Mix and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Vegetables should be crunchy. Don't overcook.

Can be served over rice, also.
