VEGETABLE PULLAN 
2 tea cups uncooked rice
2 tea cups sprouted
3 sliced onions
460 gm small potatoes
460 gm small onions
1 coconut
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
4 cloves crushed garlic
4 tsp. oil
Oil for deep frying
Salt to taste
Masala mixture to be made
1 tea cup chopped coriander
1/2 grated fresh coconut
4 tsp. dhana-jira powder
2 tsp. chili powder
4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. gram masala
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
Salt to taste

Deep fry the sliced onions in oil until golden brown and crisp. Grate the coconut, add 5 tea cups of water and allow to stand for a little while. Blend in a liquidiser and strain.

Make a cross of 2 slits at right angles on the potatoes and small onions. Stuff the slits on potatoes and onions with masala mixture. About half the masala will remain. Heat the oil in a vessel. Add the crushed garlic and fry for a little time.
