2 c. La Pina flour 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. lard or shortening 1/2 c. water Measure flour and salt into bowl. Cut in lard thoroughly. Add water and stir with a fork until dough almost cleans side of bowl. Turn dough onto slightly floured board; knead until smooth, 15-20 times. Divide into 12 equal parts. Roll each part into 7 inch circle. Bake on hot ungreased griddle 1/2-1 minute on each side or until bubbles are golden brown. Serve hot or cool, wrap and store in refrigerator or freezer. Makes 12 tortillas. |
