CORN FLAKE CRUNCHIES 
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. grated orange peel
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 c. Kountry fresh corn flakes
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheet. In large bowl cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg, milk, and orange peel. Stir in flour and baking powder. Add cereal and nuts, mixing well.

Drop by level tablespoon on prepared cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Let stand 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 5 dozen.
