1 pt. fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. heavy cream, whipped
Vanilla to taste

Rub washed, hulled berries through a fine sieve or puree in blender. Mix with unbeaten egg whites and sugar and beat vigorously until mixture forms shiny stiff peaks. Using rubber spatula, fold whipped cream into strawberry mixture and flavor with vanilla. This may be chilled or served at once.

Fresh raspberries may also be used alone or with strawberries.
