CHOCOLATE MACAROONS 
2 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (8 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
4 oz. coconut flakes
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites and add sugar and salt slowly until egg whites are stiff. Add melted and cooled chocolate bits, fold in coconut and vanilla. Drop on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325°F for 13 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from sheet.
